Tulips at the Temple

Arrival at the temple. The girls were excited to be at the temple, and I was excited that they were excited!

Moroni

The temple mailbox.  I thought it was interesting that the temple has a normal mailbox, right out in the open.   It's a *special* mailbox, I think it's cute!  The girls kept squeezing through the bars of the fence onto the temple grounds.  The gates were locked because we were there on a Sunday.  I'm surprised President Monsen hasn't called to reprimand us for the girls sneaking in. ;-)

Pretty tulips!  I love tulips!

Madison and Bailee facing the setting sun.  So sorry I blinded you, girlie's!

Look at those bright (tan), shining faces!

Mesmerized by the loveliness of the tulips.

In awe of the gorgeous tulips.

In a trance-like state due to the beauty of the tulips.

Mom's the only one paying any attention to the photographer (Dad, aka Jeff).  Ashton still entranced by the tulips and Bailee following suit.

Josie's Cabin

The Green River.  It's purtyyyy full!

We'd just arrived at the cabin.  This was the first time Ashton was in the carrier.  Cuties!

Josie's Cabin.  I'm really not sure who Josie is, Jeff knows more about her.  She built this cabin and lived there for many years without running water, electricity and modern conveniences.  She was a tough lady.  I'd be spooked staying out there all by myself.  Jeff's mentioned something about Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid being here.  I need to pay more attention.

Me looking out the window of Josie's Cabin and the crew looking in.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho

Jeff informed us that this is elk poo poo.

Hieroglyphics from long ago.  So cool!  When I was up there looking at them a young boy was up there by himself and he threw a rock at the hieroglyphs.  I couldn't believe it, I said, "No, no, no!  Don't do that."  He looked shocked that I was getting after him.  Jeff was shocked that the boy did that.  Such a shame.

Dreams

Usually I enjoy dreaming, it's like watching a movie every night in my head.  I often dream of tornadoes, helicopters, airplanes, stars, being back in school, my children, homes I've lived in, etc.  I also dream of being in my grandma and grandpa's house, these are usually strange or spooky dreams for some reason.  I really hate the dreams where I can't find my children.  I recently had one of these, I couldn't find Bailee or Ashton, I threw up in the dream because I was so distressed, it was bad!!!  A couple of weeks ago I dreamed I accidentally drove our van into Deer Creek Reservoir.  Thankfully I was alone in the van, it would truly have been a nightmare if the kids had been with me, I shudder to think of it!  That dream was really vivid, I remember the impact when the van hit the water and thinking to myself, "Ahhh, how am I going to get out of the van?!"  Last night I had a dream that I don't recall ever having before.  I dreamed that I beat someone up.  Here's the story.  So, I was back at school and I was sitting talking to a guy I used to know.  This girl came over and sat near me.  She was sending off passive aggressive vibes, then she threw her partially eaten apple at me and it hit my neck.  This was all I needed.....so I whipped her fanny.  The school cameras had filmed the incident and it was on every major news channel as the top story.  I couldn't believe it!  In the dream we were having a family get together with some of my relatives.  They were watching the news story at the restaurant and apparently I'd yelled the f-word during the fight as well!  My grandma expressed her shock and dismay over that, I was pretty embarrassed.  That's it.  Let me just say, I never use the f-word.  Such a weird dream for me, I've never beat anyone up or had the desire too.

Grandma Rust.  Not happy with me for dropping the f-bomb.

I Heart U

"I went to the doctor and guess what he told me, guess what he told meee?"  Just kidding, that's a line from a song.  But really, I recently went to see the doctor because I was having heart palpitations.  First it's my brain now it's my heart, ugh!  They've been happening for about 3 weeks now.  Last week I had to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours, I had to sleep with it on, which wasn't bad, but I couldn't shower with it on, which was sorta bad.  It started to get really itchy on the second day of wearing it.  It felt great getting it taken off!

Yes, those are my tighty whities and my whitie stomach, too bad it's not tighty too.

They also did some blood-work to check my thyroid levels.  The nurse called me with the results on Monday and said that there is an extra beat that is occurring in between my normal heart beats.  I'm glad to know that it is really happening and I'm not just imagining it.  The doctor said it should be fine, palpitations are fairly common but that I should get more tests run if it gets worse and maybe should see a cardiologist (ugh!).  I told the nurse, that the day after I turned the monitor in I had at least 20 palpitations that day.  She told me to schedule an appointment, but I think I'll wait a bit.  She did say my blood sugar level was low, so I need to eat more often....could be worse.
Just in case anything happens to me sooner than I'd like, I've given Jeff a few important instructions.  I asked him to be nice to the kids, to feed them and I told him that I want him to get remarried to nice lady that will take good care of the kids.  I'm also thinking we should get a will in place.  I'm not overly concerned with dying right now, but it makes ya think.  Well, on to brighter posts!

Laid-Back Little-Guy

It makes me laugh when I see Jeff carrying Ashton around like this.  Ashton is so comfy and laid back in this position.  I can't hold him like this, only his daddy!

"Loco In The Cabasa"!!

"Loco in the cabasa" is a phrase that Madison likes to say.  I don't know where she heard it, but it means "crazy in the head".  Yesterday Madison was getting her jacket and shoes on to head out the door for school.  She was wearing her lime green flip flops because they matched with her outfit.  It surprises me that they are allowed to wear flip flops to school, but they can, so she does.  As she was slipping her shoes on she says matter of factly, "I'm going to tell my class, that my mom's not crazy."  Huh! What in the world? Why would they think I'm crazy?  Is there a rumor going around her class or even around the school that I'm crazy?  So, I said to her, "What?".  She repeats the same thing, "I'm going to tell my class that my mom's not crazy.....because she lets me wear flip flops to school."  Good gravy, kids say the darnedest things!  I'm a bit of an overprotective mom, so I thought it could be possible that they think I'm crazy, but hopefully they don't.  Madison is a good prankster, she loves April Fools Day.  I think every day is April Fools Day to her.  Recently she told me that Bailee had been eating hand sanitizer.  I was shocked, Bailee never eats weird things.  Okay, sometimes she licks us when she kisses us, ha ha!  But other than that, she just eats edible things.  Turns out Madison was teasing us.  She keeps me on my toes!

Backward.......March

Here are some photos of my little sweetie pie on the Sunday that he got blessed.  Jeff likes to set him next to dolls and take pictures of him, hee hee!

"Tangled" the after-cut version

Recently Madison told me that my hair looks like Rapunzel's in "Tangled".  Now, sometimes Madison likes to butter me up by telling me sweet things.  I was thinking to myself, there is no way that my hair looks like Rapunzel's, far from it.  So, I said to Madison, "No, it doesn't" and she said, "It looks like Rapunzel's after she gets it cut."  Yep, she's right, it does look like Rapunzel's after she gets it cut.
Here's a shot of my "Tangled" hair.
Speaking of hair, mine is falling out.  I know it's common for women to have their hair come in thick while they're pregnant and fall out within months after the baby arrives.  This is the first time it's happened to me.  With my girls, I sprouted more hair and it stayed put, but this time it's falling out.  I'm not too worried right now, but I hope at some point it stops.  My mom has shared with me, more than once, of a woman she worked with at Mountain Bell here in Vernal, over 30 years ago.  After this lady had her baby boy, her hair fell out, a lot of her hair fell out, and never came back, poor gal.  :-(

Silly Boy!

Bailee told me she'd given Ashton one of the "Liv Dolls" to play with, this is what I walked in to find.  I hope this isn't an indication of how he'll treat women in the future, just teasing, I'm sure he'll be a perfect little gentleman.

Ashton's fluoride/vitamins are the cause of this green mouth.  As you can imagine if it's this green going in, it's this green coming out!

Bedtime

Jeff tucked Ashton into Bailee's bed, he loved it.  (I have no idea how the picture of Jeff and Ashton below got so ginormous.  I tried to get rid of it but that just messed everything up,  ha ha!)

After the girls finished brushing their teeth and picking out their books they came bounding into the room.  They were being super silly and had a fun time laying by their brother.

I love hugging and kissing my kids goodnight, there's nothing better!

Jeff's reading from the Book of Mormon Stories.  We like to read it and play fill in the blank by leaving a word or two out of each paragraph.  It's a fun little game and helps us to learn.
