Birthday Morning ~ April 24th

Me making breakfast for the birthday girl.

She got to open a couple of presents that morning.  She got some clothes and the the purple pillow to prop up behind her back.

Savoring her breakfast in bed.

Striking a pose before school.

A beautiful daughter of God.

Getting all ready for school.  Happy Birthday Madison Lu!  We love you!!

Graceful Scooters

The girls were demonstrating their graceful scooter tricks.

The neighborhood is pretty new, so a lot of us don't have lawns in yet.

Silly faces are the best!

Can't fit inside?  Then just ride on the roof.

I love the beautiful blue skies here.

I love our new neighborhood and the area we live in.  I'm so thankful we were able to move here.

A view of Split Mountain.

Madison Lu

Madison turned 11 years old on April 24th.  She's such a wonderful daughter, words can't even express how much we love her.  I brought these flowers to school for her, she was surprised.  Her classmates kept asking to smell them. :)

We went to the Naples Park after school.  It was a beautiful day.  We love going to the park on nice days.

She's my monkey!  She's fearless when it comes to heights too, she didn't inherit that from me!!  She has some pretty tough calluses on her hands from all the climbing she does.  She's a tough cookie!

Grandma Susie sent Bailee some goodies too.

Madison got some b'day money, which she was happy and thankful for.

Ashton was playing with a new soft golf set in the background.  He loves it!!   Best to steer clear when he's swinging though!

I got Madison a label maker.  I had one when I was a kid and quite enjoyed it.

It's snowing tissue paper!

Posing by her goodies while wearing her new froggie pj's.  Madison loves pajamas!

Jeff was hiding, waiting to surprise/scare Bailee as she came down the hall. :)

Madison requested The Heath Cake, which we all love.  I left a strip without the heath crunch on it for Bailee.  We had a great day celebrating Madison's birthday.  I love dedicating special days to the people I love.

Playing with Play-doh

Bailee got this Disney princess play-doh set for Christmas from her cousin.  She's had a lot of fun playing with it.

I love lots of things about play-doh, just not the clean up part.

Poke it

Balance it

Taste it

Smoosh it

So Egg-citing

Madison, Bailee and Ashton waiting with anticipation to run outside and find treat filled eggs.  Jeff and I had a fun time hiding the eggs.  The weather was beautiful that weekend!!
Must look now!

Grandma and Bailee hunting together.

Yay!  Dad and Ash found an egg.

Time for a trampoline break!

The cheering section.  Grandpa Bobby, Uncle Justin and Aunt Jill and Bailee (this must have been a pre-hunt photo).

Good job Ash! (I'm pretty sure there's an egg there!)

Bailee and Grandma

Cascade Park

We went to Cascade Park while we were in Orem during Easter/Spring Break.

Bailee kept asking if we could go to the park.  I told Jeff that we might as well go sooner than later, so we could have some peace.

We had a great time.  There are times when I totally love playing with the kids at the park and feel like a kid again.

First Sampler

I didn't make these Easter treats, but I prettied them up.  I often live by the semi-homemade motto.   Life is just so busy, and depending on what we enjoy doing and where our focus is, sometimes we need assistance in whatever ares we might be lacking in.  I enjoy cooking and baking, but I don't always have the time to make goodies.

Ashton was the first to sample the treats.

He took two nibbles and was done!  Off to play, tease and make messes!

All His Own

Grandma Susie helped Ashton with coloring his eggs.

We gave him a light color to use,

which worked well since he had his hands in it....a lot!

He absolutely loved it!!
