Thanksgiving with The Redford's

Here are some of the grand kid's with Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Kenne.
We had a really nice Thanksgiving with the Redford side of the family.  We missed the family members that weren't able to be there.

The food was delicious and we had a fun and relaxing time together.  We all got a kick out of Ashton entertaining us with his harmonica playing.  He loves being the center of attention and he eats it up when we clap and cheer for him.

Here's a picture of Grandma Jeanne chatting with Thomas.  I'm so thankful for Jeff's mom and my mom and what awesome grandma's they are.  They sincerely love spending time with their grandchildren.  They are generous, fun and loving.  They are great examples to me. :)  Grandpa Bobby and Grandpa Kenne aren't to shabby either. ;)

Jeff was able to enjoy a have a little down time to read his magazines.

My Cousin's Wedding

We attended my cousin, Daniel's, wedding on Saturday, Oct. 20.  He married Kasara, they make a cute couple.

My uncle drove the bride in, in his cool red truck.  It was fun to see.  Ashton loved it!
Vroom Vroom!!

They make a good looking couple!

Pictured here is Jaime (Jeff's sister and my uncle's wife) holding Ashton, McKenzy (my niece and cousin) and my Grandma Dorthy.

Who are these cutie pies?

I love the look on Harley's face as she's trying to hold Ashton!  :D
L to R: Ashton, Harley, Brynlee, Haven and Bailee

Here I am holding Ridge, he has the sweetest cheeks!!

All of the kids were enthralled with Budda.  He's a patient dog.

Haven trying to pick up Ashton.

It didn't go so well.  Thankfully he didn't cry. ;-)

New Chubby Baby

Last Friday (June 15th) we met my cousin Daisy and her cute kids at a park in Roosevelt for a play-date and lunch.  Daisy just had a baby on May 8th.  Doesn't she look great?!

We were so excited to meet Ridge.  He is a big, little guy.  He was 10 lbs 12 oz when he was born, almost double what Ashton weighed (6 lbs 2 oz)!   Daisy wasn't able to have any pain relief during delivery, poor girl, I can't even imagine!!

Ashton loved little Ridge too, he would come over by him cooing at him and trying to give him kisses, it was sweet.

Madison absolutely loved holding Ridge.

Here are Harley on the left and Haven on the right, they are Daisy's two little girls. Cute kiddos!

Jeff got to hold Ridge for a couple of minutes but the wind started blowing quite hard, so we had to pack up and leave.  It was a fun outing though.

This day was also Ashton's half birthday, so it was nice to do something special for that.  We had miniture cupcakes which we all enjoyed!

Visiting The Folks

Ashton and Grandpa Kenne.

Over Spring Break/Easter we visited Jeff's family and my family.

They both loved it!!

Always a family favorite!

Look at that technique.

I was there too!

Finally...

Well, I'm finally back to blogging. I've been having to deal with a few things, so I haven't been able to post anything for a bit. First of all, some Cyber-Hoodlems tried to take our computer hostage with all of their junk, happily we got rid of it all. That was sure a relief. It's amazing what a personal item a computer can become. I felt kind of violated with them putting their filth on our computer and trying to steal our confidential information. Anyways, glad that's over. The next thing that's kept me away from our pc is illness. We've had two types of illness attacking our family for the past couple of weeks. I won't go into details, gladly most traces of the germs are gone. So, anyways, I like to keep somewhat of a journal with my blog, so here's what we did in July. It's a good thing I have pictures to jog my memory. :)

Madison learned how to ride her bike without the aid of training wheels. Good Job!

Here's sweet Bailee watching big sissy out the window.

Madison hugging her cousin Becca, whom she adores. She told me she wished Becca could live next door to us so she could play with her all of the time.

Family photo with my Uncle Ron, Aunt Jo Ellen and cousins Brian, Brad and Brooke (plus her spouse Ryan and daughter Becca, with another daughter due in December) along with my parents and my own family.

Jeff holding my cousins baby, Harley. Her cheeks are so chubby and cute. You'd have to see her in person to get the full effect.

Homemade pesto (made with spinach from our garden).

Zuchinni, Zuchinni, (sideways Zuchinni) I was doing so well that day with garden goodies, although I have yet to use all the zuchinni, it's still sitting in the fridge. My food processor has come in very handy.

June 2008

Spending time with the Redford side of the family and with (Great) Grandma Smith who was visiting from California. (Thanks for coming to see us.)

Bailee sittin' with the boys at our church ward camp out.
Me roasting marshmallows at our ward camp out. As my family knows, I love roasted marshmallows. I wonder if my mom remembers the time I was roastin' n' toastin' marshmallows over the stove top burner in the kitchen and started the marshmallow on fire. I started screaming and dropped it on the living room carpet. Ahhh..memories.

Madison playing in the backyard pool. She loves swimming.

Bailee in her little pool. Cute!

Great Grandma Smith and us in our driveway. Pretty in PINK

Grandpa Bobby. Picture taken by Madison on June 14th, 2008. Evening of Orem Fest Parade. Go Sooners!!

My mom (Susan), my sister (Jill) and Bailee sitting in my parents backyard during the parade. Bailee wasn't diggin' the parade, so we walked back to my parents house. They live right by the street the parade goes down, so it's really convenient. Jeff and Madison are total parade goers, so they really like the convenience.

Jeff and Madison going down a slide at Orem Fest Fair. Hope you don't get a tooshy burn. (I don't know how to spell toosh/tush and I don't feel like looking it up.) ;)

Bailee turning around to look at a pack of loud motorcycles zooming by. She's so observant.
*Things I want to remember*
Milestones
*Bailee is now pulling herself up and able to stand, she started doing that on Monday, July 7th.
*Bailee learned how to clap, she first clapped on Monday, July 7th.
*Madison is tall enough now she no longer needs to sit on the bathroom counter for me to do her hair, she's able to just stand on the floor, for most hair do's anyway. My little girl is growing up.
Funny Sayings
*Madison thought the reality tv show The Bachelorette was called The Bachelor of Ette. Ha!
