Backyard BBQ

The kids and I roasted some hot dogs and toasted some marshmallows in our little fire pit out back.  We had  few mishaps with the hot dogs falling off the stick into the fire and flaming marshmallows, but  we had a great time.

After a bit it got pretty windy, so we gathered up our stuff and went inside.  Then we had a dance party in the living room.  We each took turns choosing songs on youtube.  We danced our tushes off.  After that, the kids got in Ashton's shark tent and I was the monster trying to "get" them.  They loved it!!  We had a great evening.

In a Fog

My parents came to visit us last Halloween (2013).  My mom brought some dry ice for us.

They absolutely loved it!  We'll have to do it again this Halloween, for sure!

Bailee was just talking about it the other day and was wanting to get some.  Bailee's friend was with us when she brought it up, so I was trying to explain what it is and why we shouldn't touch it.  They were mystified! ;-)

Grandma Susie, who the denim leg pictured above belongs too, and Ashton played a bowling game.

Pumpkin carving.  We had a good time and did really well on our pumpkin carvings last year!  Success.

Bailee wore this witch costume to school on Halloween.  Here she is eating her awful waffle for breakfast! 

We had a fun old time out Trick or Treating.  I seriously love it!  Here's Madison the cute nerd and her friend Stella.  I'll probably be posting a few more Halloween pics in the future, I know Jeff has some on his phone to give to me.

Weekend Before School Started

The weekend before school started Rooks stayed with us for 4 days and 3 nights while his parents went on a trip for their anniversary.  I'm not gonna lie, it was a lot of work with him staying with us, but all went well and he's a good boy.  I'm thankful he slept through the nights!!

We went to the splash park for the last time this summer.  I watch Rooks 4 days a week instead of just 2 now that school has started.  

I don't remember what Bailee was telling me, but it looks important.  She's a cutie pie!

Ashton enjoyed being in the water more this time than he has in the past.  He found a cup and thoroughly enjoyed filling it with water over and over again.  He splashed me with it on the stomach one time, he was a good shot!  I got worried about him though.  I noticed he was shaking, but he just kept on playing in the water.  I quickly grabbed his warm beach towel and went over and picked him up and wrapped him in it.  I had him sit with me on the lounge chair and I wrapped him in all of the beach towels we had.  It took him a bit to warm up. 

Unbeknownst to the girls and Rooks, Ashton's heading their way with a nice, cold cup of water, haha!

Father's Day

We got home from our Orem trip on Father's Day.  We were able to see Jeff for an hour or so before he headed off to work.

We got him an Aloe plant (he likes to use aloe) and some other goodies, mostly edible ones.

Jeff wasn't into sharing his candy bar bouquet. ;-)

Happy Father's Day to all the great dad's out there!!

Argh!

We went to Orem the week before Father's Day.

We stayed for 7 days!  The kids loved it.  I did too.

We bought this pirate ship pool in Vernal on our way out of town.

They had a great time with it!

They loved to play in grandma and grandpa's backyard.

It's a lot of fun to watch their crazy antics. :-)

Just Waiting...

The kids and I waited in the car,

while Grandma Susie and Jeff,

went into Smiths in Orem,

to grab a couple of things.

We had a wild and woolly time!  I didn't get to capture the craziest stunts.  Life with kids, never a dull moment.

Playing in the Backyard

 The kids had a great time playing in Grandma and Grandpa Litton's backyard during Easter break.

The weather was so nice that weekend, temps in the 70's!
