My Cousin's Wedding

We attended my cousin, Daniel's, wedding on Saturday, Oct. 20.  He married Kasara, they make a cute couple.

My uncle drove the bride in, in his cool red truck.  It was fun to see.  Ashton loved it!
Vroom Vroom!!

They make a good looking couple!

Pictured here is Jaime (Jeff's sister and my uncle's wife) holding Ashton, McKenzy (my niece and cousin) and my Grandma Dorthy.

Who are these cutie pies?

I love the look on Harley's face as she's trying to hold Ashton!  :D
L to R: Ashton, Harley, Brynlee, Haven and Bailee

Here I am holding Ridge, he has the sweetest cheeks!!

All of the kids were enthralled with Budda.  He's a patient dog.

Haven trying to pick up Ashton.

It didn't go so well.  Thankfully he didn't cry. ;-)

Bailee's Surgery

Bailee had a tonsillectomy today, Oct. 18.  She was extremely nervous and was quite upset right before she went to the operating room.  She was still happy and doing well in the this photo.  The staff at the hospital was so nice and helpful, I'm very grateful for that.

The surgery went very well.  I went back in the post-op room with her and waited for her to wake up.  She was in a deep sleep and kept making little moans, it was cute.  I stroked her cheek with my cold fingers, it was chilly in there, then she opened her eyes.  She wanted to go home right away.  She's saying "Home" in this photo.

They brought her back into the other room to observe her for an hour before we were released to go.  In this photo they're taking the bandages and IV off of her.  She was very antsy to get all of it off, I don't blame her, I feel the same way when I'm in the hospital.  Some of the tape was so sticky, it hurt her little hand and took off a tiny bit of skin, ugh!

Bailee loved the blue slushy the nurse gave her.  It was pretty delicious!  It helped to distract her and hydrated her too.  She was watching Dora or Deigo in this photo.

Bailee is having an awesome recovery, I'm so relieved!  She was upset in this photo because she wanted to play with my old train set and I told her she should wait until the next day.

We got her the flowers on the right and Jill got her the cute little witch flowers.  It's so fun getting deliveries!

Grandma and Grandpa Litton got her this super cute and soft doggie.  She named it Sparkles.  The cute fairy wings and crown are from Aunt Jaime and her family.  They got her some big Blow Pops too.  Thanks everyone!

Conference Craft

During the first session of General Conference on Saturday, we made Halloween headbands.  Our supplies included black birds, eyeballs, spiders and more.

I had the perfect seat.  I was able to watch conference through the little pass through, even with all the food on the counter. ;)  I love watching and listening to conference.  It always makes me sad when it's over.

Here's Madison's creation, any eyeball headband.

And here's Bailee's too!  I should have taken a picture of little brother Ashy who wanted to be right in the middle of everything and kept climbing onto the kitchen table.

Here's my black bird headband.

I made this spider web headband the next day.  Madison modeled it for me and as you can tell was not in the mood. :D

No More, Please

*Warning*
Bodily functions mentioned below.

As I mentioned, Ashton has been sick with a stomach virus.  He's getting better but the sickness has taken on a different form in the diaper zone.  He hadn't vomited for a couple of days, until yesterday evening, when he upchucked all over our back patio.  That was fun to clean up.  I've seen way too much curdled milk lately.  And, just this morning I was watching Rooks, he overate and spit up/threw up a lot of formula, mostly down my shirt.  Thankfully he was facing me with his blanket between us, so a lot of it got on his blanket.  Bailee said, "Eww it's dripping down your arm." I said, "I know."  I changed shirts and got things under control.  Phew!  I will be putting in another load of laundry promptly.

All is right with the world...for about 10 seconds

Here's an easy and cute craft I made yesterday.  I already had most of the supplies, I just had to print out the labels, I got them off of the Studio 5 website.

This was my favorite, "Rotten Witches Teeth", with candy corn as the teeth in the jar.

I also made pumpkin bread, which I love!  Things were going along really well yesterday and all seemed right in our little world...and you know what happens then...

Poor Ash woke up from his nap and had vomited in his crib.  I was hoping it was fleeting, but the sickness continued through the night.  I've been giving him anti nausea medicine which seems to help.  He's doing okay, but not quite up to par.  I'm crossing my fingers that the rest of us don't get it.

Cornstalks

You've probably heard of Jack and the beanstalk, we'll here's Ashton and the cornstalk.
Happy Autumn!

My Little Helper

Ashton was such a sweetie yesterday, he wanted to help me bring the groceries in.  He went back out to the van each time with me as I got another armload and a light weight bag for him.  It was so cute seeing him carry the bag with both hands and also dragging the bag down the sidewalk, he did his best.  I love my little boy.

So True

The other day I was reading about my astrological sign, I'm an Aquarius.  I'm not totally into horoscopes, but it's fun to read sometimes.  Anyway, I came across this.

"They (aquarians) love what pops, like outrageous style and weird expressions. They'll bond talking about everything, from aliens to animal rights."

I laughed out loud when I read the part about "weird expressions", that fits me to a tee.  Most of the time, I think it's so funny when my family or friends or even strangers make odd/silly faces, whether intentionally or unintentionally.  I told Jeff what I'd read about myself, he laughed and said, "They got that right on!"

Case in point, I don't think anyone got a kick out of these funny face photos as much as I did!!
Sorry to have to post these, Jill and Madison. ;)

Chit Chat

Madison and I were recently talking about Elvis and Priscilla Presley.  I don't know a lot about them, Jeff knows a lot more than I do, he's an Elvis fan.  He often refers to Elvis, Elvis this and Elvis that, not really, I'm just kidding!  Anyhow, he was talking to Madison about Elvis the other day and Madison was telling me what Jeff had told her.  For the life of us, Madison and I could not remember what Elvis' and Priscilla's daughters name is, it finally came to me, Lisa Marie.  I told Madison if Elvis and Priscilla had combined their names together to form their child's name, it would have been....Pelvis.  We thought it was hilarious at the time. :D

Not Any Time Soon

(You can just see the top of Madison's head on the lower left side of the inflatable.)
We went to Kangaroo Zoo when we were out visiting our families last week.  The girls loved it at first...

Both girls got friction burns from going down the slides.  Bailee was pretty upset about hers, she very much dislikes getting hurt.  After she was wounded, she wanted to leave and nothing would sway her to stay.  We held off as long as we could so Madison could play a little longer.

Jeff and Ashton had fun playing with these things.

Watch out Dad!

Snuggle time

Ashy was scared of the inflatables and pretty much detested being on them.

They are large, I'm sure it's quite overwhelming for certain little kids.

He loved playing in the tiny tots area though.
It will be awhile before we go back after this experience.  It was expensive too!
