June 2008

Spending time with the Redford side of the family and with (Great) Grandma Smith who was visiting from California. (Thanks for coming to see us.)

Bailee sittin' with the boys at our church ward camp out.
Me roasting marshmallows at our ward camp out. As my family knows, I love roasted marshmallows. I wonder if my mom remembers the time I was roastin' n' toastin' marshmallows over the stove top burner in the kitchen and started the marshmallow on fire. I started screaming and dropped it on the living room carpet. Ahhh..memories.

Madison playing in the backyard pool. She loves swimming.

Bailee in her little pool. Cute!

Great Grandma Smith and us in our driveway. Pretty in PINK

Grandpa Bobby. Picture taken by Madison on June 14th, 2008. Evening of Orem Fest Parade. Go Sooners!!

My mom (Susan), my sister (Jill) and Bailee sitting in my parents backyard during the parade. Bailee wasn't diggin' the parade, so we walked back to my parents house. They live right by the street the parade goes down, so it's really convenient. Jeff and Madison are total parade goers, so they really like the convenience.

Jeff and Madison going down a slide at Orem Fest Fair. Hope you don't get a tooshy burn. (I don't know how to spell toosh/tush and I don't feel like looking it up.) ;)

Bailee turning around to look at a pack of loud motorcycles zooming by. She's so observant.
*Things I want to remember*
Milestones
*Bailee is now pulling herself up and able to stand, she started doing that on Monday, July 7th.
*Bailee learned how to clap, she first clapped on Monday, July 7th.
*Madison is tall enough now she no longer needs to sit on the bathroom counter for me to do her hair, she's able to just stand on the floor, for most hair do's anyway. My little girl is growing up.
Funny Sayings
*Madison thought the reality tv show The Bachelorette was called The Bachelor of Ette. Ha!

It looks like you guys are having a great summer. I didn't know you liked toasted marshmallows so much. I ate too many on a campout and threw them all up, so it has taken me many years to appreciate them again. But I loved your story about the carpet. HA!

It is so fun to see pictures of your mom, sister, and especially your Great Grandma Smith with that awesome hair! I hate roasted marshmallows, it's weird to think there are people like you that like them!

Bailee looks so grown up in that picture with all the boys at the campout. It took me a minute to realize that one of the boys was mine. Your marshmallow story had me cracking up! What fun summer festivities!
