First Sampler

I didn't make these Easter treats, but I prettied them up.  I often live by the semi-homemade motto.   Life is just so busy, and depending on what we enjoy doing and where our focus is, sometimes we need assistance in whatever ares we might be lacking in.  I enjoy cooking and baking, but I don't always have the time to make goodies.

Ashton was the first to sample the treats.

He took two nibbles and was done!  Off to play, tease and make messes!

All His Own

Grandma Susie helped Ashton with coloring his eggs.

We gave him a light color to use,

which worked well since he had his hands in it....a lot!

He absolutely loved it!!

Gettin' Eggie With It

We dyed eggs at Grandma and Grandpa Litton's house.

My cute little girl

My handsome man

We used Kool Aid to color the eggs.  It worked really well and was easy.

Instructions for Kool Aid Colored Eggs

1 packet of Kool Aid plus 2/3 Cup of water
Use any colors/flavors you like!

Working It Out

Here are me and Ashton cuddling after Jeff and I got home from exercising.  We try to go on walks every day, weather permitting.  The weather hasn't been letting us as much as we'd like too lately.  We bundle up though, when needed, and head out for a lovely walk.  It's a great time for Jeff and I to get some exercise, spend time together and talk.  When we aren't able to go for walks outdoors, we go to the rec center and use the elliptical machines and stationary bikes.  We've really been enjoying it!

Just Waiting...

The kids and I waited in the car,

while Grandma Susie and Jeff,

went into Smiths in Orem,

to grab a couple of things.

We had a wild and woolly time!  I didn't get to capture the craziest stunts.  Life with kids, never a dull moment.

Good Ole' Music

Kelly Clarkson-Catch My Breath

Pink-Try
This is an interesting video, but a little on the "Whoa!" side.  I'm not a huge fan a Pink's music but I really like this one.

Imagine Dragons-It's Time

Little Big Town-Tornado
I wish a house would land on each and every one of the sick son of guns in this world who hurt innocent people.  I could go on in a big old rant, but I won't.

Playing in the Backyard

The kids had a great time playing in Grandma and Grandpa Litton's backyard during Easter break.

The weather was so nice that weekend, temps in the 70's!

Getting a little too big for the slide!!

Easter Scavenger Hunt

Madison had been wanting us to do a scavenger hunt for them, so I decided to do one for the kids to find their Easter buckets.  We were all ready to leave town to go to Orem for Easter.  We were planning to visit Jeff's parents in Riverton as well, but they were in Arizona tending Jeff's brother's kids for a bit.  The van was completely loaded and the kids were all buckled in their seats.  Jeff and I were doing the last walk thru before we left.  I went out to the van and told the kids they needed to come back inside to clean the playroom before we left  They all came in, some not so happy or willingly.  Once they got inside, Madison headed right upstairs to start cleaning.  I quickly told them I was just kidding, and that we were going to have a scavenger hunt before we left.  They were thrilled!!

Ashton's

Bailee's

Madison's

They loved finding the clues and figuring them out.  Jeff complimented me for the little rhymes I wrote for the clues.  It's so nice to be noticed especially by my husband!

Enjoying his blanket.

The girls had just read a clue and were running to find the next one.  What this photo didn't capture was right as Bailee was running past Ashton, he stuck out his fist and bopped her in the stomach!  He's a sweetheart but can be a little stinker too!  Thankfully she was having so much fun, she didn't notice.

Yay!  They found their treasures in my room.

Cute and Cuddly

I love it when they are nice to each other.
Yes, Ashton still drinks milk out of a bottle, don't judge. ;-)
He's already a thin little boy, I'm afraid to make any changes for fear that he'll stop drinking the whole milk with it's much needed fat and calories.  Plus, he's my last little baby.
